Bunnies & Kitties....

I like the spring time...especially when I get to enjoy some downtime at home. This morning we have decided to take it slow and relax. I started looking out the window and saw a bunny eating one of the plants in our front window area. I thought it was cute so I decided to get some pictures of it. And then Thomas got out the laser light for the cats...

This picture isn't the best quality because I was taking it through the living room window. But here is the cute bunny eating our plants.

I decided to follow the bunny outside to see how close I could get to get a picture. She (he?) took off right after I took this photo.

Here is Bengal playing with the laser-light! :) Dartos was playing with it until Bengal came over..then he was "too cool" for that kind of thing...

Basement Update ...

Wow, its been quite a while since I've posted here. Life has been busy. I'll attempt to do some "catching up" soon....maybe. :)

The basement is coming along nicely. I did take some pictures as things progressed, but haven't posted them. There were stages of destruction, repair, and now we have walls, paint, carpet, and tile again! :)

Here are some photos:

Obviously still in the "destruction" phase. They took out about 2 feet of drywall around most of the basement due to water damage. Once they had everything out, they power-washed the floor to disinfect. :)

The empty bathroom!

This is a great shot taken from the large room. If you look closely, you can see all the way into the bathroom under the walls!

"Construction" begins -- drywall being replaced in Thomas' office. I didn't think I needed to post multiple "drywall hanging" pictures.

NEW CARPET & PAINT!

When we were asked about colors of paint & carpet we simply told them that we wanted our basement back. They tried to match the paint to the old shade of yellow. We still had to pick the carpet out. Both paint & carpet is just a shade warmer (darker) than before....we love it! AND - its much softer. The basement carpet is now much nicer than the upstairs...but I have no intention of recarpeting the upstairs anytime soon!

New cedar closet.

Thomas' office. We decided to have them paint his office the same color as the rest of the basement. It will be so nice when he can get his stuff back in there. Its not easy for us to share one computer at home!

The new bathroom downstairs. We had to pick out the tile several different times. Each time we said "yup, that works" they called me and told me it was discontinued. ARG! This, however, looks wonderful. Oh, and for those that remember the pretty pink bow above Thomas' toilet...it got painted over! :)
