I can fly!

If you have been reading my blog for a while, you'll know that I attended a Total Solution seminar in Colorado this past August. It was an amazing experience, and one I hope to relive in the future. The seminar was outstanding, the people were amazing, and the information I received was unbelievable.

One of the days we did activities to get us to challenge ourselves. One such activity is the "pole climb." (this is lovingly called the "pamper pole" by the leaders!) :)

The TS people hire a professional photographer to get a photo of us once we reach the top of the pole. It is a truly liberating experience. The pole is a 30+ foot telephone pole that you climb. That's not all that hard until you realize that you are to stand up on the top. There is no support up there, and you can not hold onto your belay harness. It is all you up there, using your own will and strength. After much delay and breathing, I did make it to the top. Once there, you yell out what you are leaving behind and what you are jumping toward. Here's my photo of my pole jump!

And yes -- I CAN FLY! (click on the photo for the full size)

Office update --

My office is almost done! Today we (Ardi, Emilie, and myself) got the 2nd bathroom painted, the long hall-way painted and the current trim & doors stained! It looks much better now! The remaining trim that needs to be done will be done soon, and then the office is NEW!

I'm feeling like its been forever since we started this remodel, and it has been since 12/11/07! I can't believe its taken almost a full year to get this done. Luckily, my patients are cool and they understand slow progress.

I'll post pictures soon of what the "new" office looks like. I don't have the prints up on the walls yet, but it is coming along (finally!)

So I had a mood....

Last evening Thomas & I went out to dinner. I was "in a mood" (not a bad mood, just a "mood"). I have been busier at work than I ever have been, and busier than I thought I would be by now. SO, I decided I wanted to do something fun and buy a new "toy!"

So, now Thomas & I have a Wii! We have many of the add-ons as well and have been having some fun with the game! I can see why people think this is a fitness machine! I do plan to get the Wii-Fit one of these days, but I'll have fun with the game for a while!
